The Chamonix Valley extends from Servoz to Barberine on the Swiss border. The main villages are Servoz, Les Houches, Les Bossons, Chamonix, Les Praz, Argentiere, Mont Roc / Le Tour and Vallorcine. Ski Areas: Chamonix is not a ski resort, but rather a city that has become the world capital of mountaineering and skiing. This is actually 5 ski resorts in a valley. In addition, you can add the famous cable car to the Aiguille du Midi, which takes you to 3842m above sea level, and also the Montenvers Train / Mer de Glace.

The ski resort Flégère is interconnected with Le Brévent by a gondola. You can access the Le Tour / Balme ski station by cable car from Vallorcine. You have a snowpark at Les Grands Montets. There are plenty of other small areas for beginners, including Planards and Le Savoy in Chamonix, but also Vormaine Le Tour and Les Chosalets in Argentière.
